Why Donate to our Club

The Butler County Amateur Radio Public Service Group (BCARPSG) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  Donations may be deducted from your federal taxes. But that is not the only reason you should consider supporting us.

The BCARPSG is made up of licensed amateur radio operators who volunteer their time to support the community and first responders. Our primary purpose is to provide backup communications for first responders and 911 services in the event of a disaster. Our highly-skilled volunteers are ready to deploy to any location in the county to setup temporary communications infrastructure. In fact, we practice doing this multiple times per year to keep our skills and operating habits in good working order.

We also provide communication support for community events such as races, parades, and community days. We even provide training and education to the community by partnering with other charitable organizations such as Scouting America (formerly BSA). 

Donations to our club will go to maintaining our communications infrastructure of five repeaters across the county, maintaining mobile equipment for emergency deployments, and educational/communication activities such as this web site.
