The weeknight (M-F) Butler County Net is going back to 7:00 PM effective October 3, 2022. This net will be held weeknights at 7:00 PM except on Mondays where it will start at 6:45 PM.

11/19/2022 – Congratulations goes out to Kevin Young for earning his Technician Class License on Saturday!  Kevin, welcome to this interestingly diverse hobby!  

10/15/2022 – PSG Member, Mike Giobbi (KC3UMS) was the first person to utilize the NEW PSG Third Saturday Testing Session.  Congratulations Mike, on earning your Extra Class Operator License!  It’s truly an exceptional standard of achievement!!   

9/17/2022 – Our newest General Class operator Mary McLaughlin set her sights on earning an Extra Class Ticket and did just that this very morning.  Congratulations KC3HMB!!!  Three tests, twelve days, now an Extra Class operator, this is exceptional, and definitely not the norm! 

9/06/2022 – KC3TYY / Dave McLaughlin is a very proud man this evening!  His XYL, Mary, decided to join him in this fabulous hobby and has passed both the Technician and General Class Examinations this evening with flying colors!!  Congratulations and welcome to the PSG Mary!!!  Dave certainly was beaming (no pun) this evening.  We look forward to seeing your General Class Call (KC3HMB, was KC3UTW) and of course, hearing you on the air!!!!

7/13/2022Jacqueline Yockey passed her Technician Class license exam this evening, after the PSG meeting this evening.  As TXG so aptly put it, “You’ve come to the right place.”  Congratulations and welcome to the PSG!  We’ll look forward to hearing you on the air KC3UOL!!!

6/26/2022 – Weather was great for Field Day, bands, not so much.  However, please join me in congratulating Michael Giobbi for passing his Technician Class license exam at our Field Day VE-Testing Session!  His “Call” is KC3UMS and has also accepted an honorary membership in our club. Congratulations and welcome Mike!!

Our next monthly meeting will be at the Butler County Emergency Operations Center, 120 McCune Road, Butler, PA.  Meeting will start at 7:30 PM.

Remote access options will be available for those who prefer to participate from home.

License Exams

Ham radio license exams, led by the club’s volunteer examiners, are available after the monthly meeting or upon request.
